2 Minutes with the cast of Abigail/1702: Rob Gaetano

Boutique Theatreabigail/1702, melbourne, season 2016

Name: Rob Gaetano

Character you are playing in Abigail/1702? The Man in Grey (AKA The Devil)

Favourite Ninja Turtle? Raphael

Party Pies or Sausage Rolls? Party Pies

If you could have one superpower what would it be? To fly

Favourite place to eat in Melbourne? The Meatball and Wine Bar, Flinders Lane

People who fedoras: cooler than you’ll ever be or time to run away? Time to run away…a long way away

Favourite acting experience to date? There’s two. The Laramie Project in my final year of drama school. It’s a beautiful play, I got to play some great characters and it was the last time I worked with my graduating class so there’s a lot of nostalgia there. Also when I played Tony, a hopeless romantic from Manchester in a played called Kiss Me Like You Mean It that I also co-produced.

Is playing the Devil scary or oddly liberating? It’s not oddly liberating. It’s liberating, but it’s fun!

What are you most looking forward to heading into the production? I’ve been working on and performing my solo show for nearly two years so it will be great to finally have other actors to play with!
